Hey ladies,

For the last two weeks I have occasionally experienced my index finger getting numb and tingly and turning white. It doesn't happen every day, but today it did it in my index and ring finger of my right hand. Always on the right hand side. What do you think is going on? Has anyone else had this? It's a really annoying feeling.

HI ANN MARIE,

I'VE HAD THE TINGLING BUT NOT EXPERIENCED THE WHITE LIKE YOU ARE DESCRIBING. MAYBE ONE OF THE OTHER LADIES CAN HELP YOU WITH THIS. THIS JUST WASN'T A SYMPTOM I HAD.

Hi Ann Marie, I just read another post about white fingers. Kathy posted a reply about Raynauds syndrome. If you type in Raynauds syndrome in the search window it will bring that post up. I'm not saying that is what you have, but it is an interesting article. It could be something with your circulation. I have tingling in my fingers, but no trouble with my fingers turning white.

I never had this before explant.....I don't think. It's not happening everyday, but when it does it's so annoying and kind of worries me. It could be something related to a nerve. It's only on my right side and the implant was sitting on a nerve and would just irritate me when it would move over it. Maybe it's surfacing now because the capsule was taken out and that irritated it? I don't know. Very strange though. Other than that I'm feeling really good. My husband just told me today how nice they turned out and that really made me feel good. I've been using the Target brand for Mederma on the scars and it's working great. I'm so glad you guys had so much fun in Florida.

Hi Ann-Marie, I have reynauds (sp?) my index and middle fingers are affected, usually when my hands are cold. They go white and numb/tingling it takes ages for the life to come back after they are warmed up! I don't know if this is another symptom to be attributed to the implants, but it sure wouldn't surprise me!!

This is interesting as I read this very old post of mine and said I never experienced the white finger tips. I get that often now. I've had raynaud's for a very long time. I just didn't know what it was until I became ill from my implants. My earliest memory of it was when I was about 7 years old.....maybe earlier. I only had it in my toes. The doctors told my Mother it was nothing to worry about. This is something that became much worse with implants.

It is interesting as there isn't a history of this in my family.

RE: White finger tips and numbness/tingling?
there are 2 types of raynauds. one is primary-which is the most common form and usually occurs in women before the age of 40. This is genetic or idiopathic. The other one is secondary-usually occurs after age of 40 and is a precursor to autoimmune diseases such as lupus and scleroderma. I am hoping and praying that I do not develop further to one of those diseases.
