Hello faith!! thank u for the welcoming!! Yeah it's really been a ruff few years for me and my symptoms are deffintly getting worse I was reading a little bit more and did see a few stories here that did say that there symptoms came and went also, there's no consistency to it, for like a few days weeks or months I feel so ill where I'm having a hard time functioning and then all of a sudden I'm fine and then that will last for no specific time and then I'm sick again!! it's crazy!! and it's getting to the point where I am desperate to get better my dr.'s can't figure it out and when I read peoples stories here about there breast implant illness it is so identical to what I have been experiencing i am really starting to wonder thanks for answering my question!! I'm really thinking about getting them out!! I am worried about how bad it could get because right now its pritty bad : (

Ali,

I can relate to your story.

When I first got sick in late 2007 early 2008, I too had times where I felt awful and then good and it had no rhyme or reason. I just never knew how bad it was going to be until I woke up.

When I FINALLY made the connection to my implants, I wanted to keep them so bad that I would go back and forth between wanting to explant and then wanting to keep them.

I tried EVERYTHING to get well but just kept getting worse. When I would have a bad flare of my symptoms, I would curse the implants and swear that I was going to one day explant. Finally, 10 months ago I explanted. Now I am kicking myself for not doing it MUCH SOONER..............

One thing that I found out along the way, was that my implants caused me to have TERRIBLE food allergies. Once I identified all of my PROBLEM foods and removed them from my diet, that made a HUGE difference and I was able to feel better even before I explanted.

You might also have candida. Almost all of us sick from our implants do. Candida has 70 symptoms alone.

Many of my symptoms are better after explant but I am still fighting food allergies and candida thanks to the fact that the implants caused major immune suppression. My body has already shown that it is healing and attempting to right the wrong.

I also have become very sensitive to lots of things, meds even basic OTC products, antiacids, bandaids will leave a rash on my arm tape from the iv in the er it's very strange and my stomach has been very upset I would think that symptoms would get better after explant I was wondering because obviously right now I am going through the phase of realizing that it is my implants and thinking gosh what if I had them removed and nothing changed!! thanks for sharing with me!!

RE: Implants making me sick ?
Hi Ali,

I remember how frustrated that was, feeling sick, waiting forever for the dr. appointment, taking to a "specialist" and going home in tears with no results, no change, no solution. Medical test show nothing, doctor looks at me like I am making stuff up, then he looks at his watch, and he smile and shows me the door. Son of a gun! I just waited and suffered and paid for nothing.
Then you go home and it starts all over again. One day you're fine the next it's just a nightmare. Jet lagged, in pain, heart beats and panic attacks, you know you are not going crazy. Feeling like death is creeping in? I remember that horrible sensation.. but it can be a thing of the past.

Bottom line is that implants are very dangerous. Not only they trigger your immune system but they add depression and feeling of hopelessness. There is no running around the bush for hours, if you want your life back you HAVE to remove them. Go straight to the forum where it says what to ask your surgeon before surgery and read it five times. Then say a prayer drink a nice tea and take a nap. When you wake up tell yourself that you are a warrior and you will survive this but you HAVE to be proactive. Most of us live in such deep fear of change and making mistake that we over analyze the problem and get incredibly depressed. Instead think like a guy. Problem ---> solution --> *TING*(microwave) DONE!!!
NEXT?

Look for a surgeon and have it done. In one week after the surgery the drain comes off and your brain will start thinking clear again. What it looks like, will it feels different, is is painful, is it expensive.. these are not priorities. The only light in the tunnel is the explant. See yourself free of those weights under your skin and your body thank you for it.

Then G-d willing, you will stay focused on a good detox diet and firmly believe on improving your mind and health, and tell yourself you will prevail, I know you can do that.

A year after the explant burn a candle and give yourself a hug, you have just fought the toughest battle against fear depression and this business scam making million of women sick around the world. Don't be mad at your doctors. They have no clue. The FDA has no clue yet but Aug 30th ad 31st many of us are going to finally speak up at a public hearing.

All my best wishes to you!

RE: Implants making me sick ?
Hi Ali, I am replying to your post of wondering if your implants may be possibly making your sick? I'll give you a short history of my experience. I had my implants for 20 years. Not know that 10 years was about how long they lasted! (Was not told that when I had them put in!). As years past mainly the last 5-7 years had different illnesses. First symptom was what I found out is " Mutiple Chemical Syndrome". Different perfumes, skin lotions, soaps, anything that went on my body was making me sick. I've learned through their website that I had to stick to one type of lotion, soap, shampoo etc.. which I now do and kinda have it in check. I physically got sick (nausea, diaherrea, very tired and lethargic. To the point I had to go to bed for a couple of hours to function! I now use natural products at the health food store and DONT CHANGE! Also lots of muscle aches. To the point I would Cry and it keep me up at night. So about 6 years ago it was time for my mammogram. I explained to the technician that I had older implants and to not be too rough. Of course she didn't! I also had to go back and have a second mammogram due to the first one was showing some spots. Again, the technician was very rough with my breasts! About a week after the exam I got very SICK! Extreme fatigue, light headedness, anxiety, breathing problems to the point my Mother/Husband had to take me to the emergency! They had to give me oxygen. I noticed one morning my right breast when I laid on my back looked flatter than the other. The medical insurance I had at that time was an HMO and was hard to get them to understand anything to do with breast implants. So I went to a plastic surgeon. Of course since breast implants are their bread and butter he did not suspect anything being wrong even though I was very sick! So about a week after that I went back to his office and demanded the implants to be removed! The surgery was not bad. Actually less painful than when they were put in. I had drains in under my arms for about a week to drain fluid that would accumulate. I also had on a sports bra for support. Well its been approx. 5 years ago I had that done. It took time for me to get my energy back. I could not walk long distances, or even clean my house without being exhausted. I have slowly in the past 2 years got my strength back. Only problem I have is my arms are very weak. I had the implants under my muscles. That means my muscles were split and will never grow back again. If I do something strenuous with my arms I have tremors in them and feel kind of nauseous. I do still have the multiple chemical syndrome and probably will due to my implants were leaking in my body per the plastic surgeon. So I am not 100% still at times have bad and good days. Mainly with my arm weakness. I have been watching my Grandson who is now 20lbs. I have been having a lot of problems with my arms hurting and tremors. But I am trying to stick it out. So if any of you are wondering if your implants can or are making your sick?? YES! They can and will if you have them in your body more than the allotted time. My breast right now actually look better than they did before I had the implants. I did not go really large. I was a 34B and went to a full 34C cup. I am now back to a 34B. I feel 90% better than I did with the implants in me which were leaking. I am sure I will never be 100% again. I wish I was not so vain to try to please my husband at that time who was a breast man. It is not worth your health ladies! I wish I had NEVER done it. God Bless you all! Hope this helps someone. Carol
