[size=3]Hi Heather, Welcome to the forum. You are not going to find a doctor that will diagnose her with silicone poisioning. Very few doctors would even touch that diagnosis. Don't waste your money on any silicone lab testing.

Hi Heather, Brenda is right. Very few women find docs that support the facts that silicone is a toxic substance. You can chalk that up to money being made by continuing to sell them, the FDA blatantly lying, and the general lack of info readily given out. The mere fact that you are searching for the truth makes you a very proactive woman. Like I said, your mom is a very lucky lady.

It's also still very much a man's world that we live in. A piece of proof showing that, other than all the advertisements about big breasts, is the fact that silicone penile implants were jerked off the market while breat implants continue to be sold. It's insane! Wouldn't want a man to become ill--it's much easier to just tell the hundreds of thousands of women that we're crazy, depressed, neurotic, or a hypochondriac!

Just thought i'd give you something else to think about while you continue searching! Lol. It's tragic!

Susan

Hi Heather, I had mine removed last month after having them for 20 years also, and I could send you pictures of how awful my capsules looked. The implants themselves were not that bad; slightly lost volume and cloudier, but not a gooey mess like some are). Mine were slow leaking through the casing into very hard contracted thick calcified (white inside) capsules. Looked like a farm for all sorts of bacteria. I agree totally - at 10 years, they need to come out. At 20, they REALLY need to come out, sickness or not. My symptoms were dizziness, allergies, joint pain, fatigue, and some congnitive decline which seems to be improving. I would not say I was not a severe case though by any means.

Waouh! Susan, yes very enlightening indeed the fact that penile implants have been jerked off but not breast ones.
